Techni-Glass Merger Results in $8 Million Expansion and 20 New Jobs

At its last meeting, the Hawkins County Industrial Development Board announced that they would be selling 7.1 acres of land to Techni-Glass, which has merged with AROW Global. They initially plan to invest $3 million to construct a 30,000 to 50,000-square-foot building, $5 million in equipment, and employ an additional 20 employees.

Arow-Global Corp. has operated in Canada and US since 1965 and is the leading manufacturer of mass transit bus windows in North America. Arow-Global also designs and builds custom driver protection systems.

“Techni-Glass has enjoyed its home in the park since its inception in 1997 and intends to remain a long-term tenant and is looking forward to working with the HCIDB.”

Dan Gohmann, vice president and general manager of Techni-Glass and Arow Global

This will be the 7th expansion for Techni-Glass since its inception in 1997. IDB chairman Larry Elkins told the Rogersville Review that the terms of the agreement require the project to be completed within three years.
